If there’s one thing that can ruin my day, it will be bricked gadget, lost my Internet connection, or having one of those Monday blues. Okay, maybe there are more than one, but you get the point.

After my HDD went kaput the other day (worry not, it’s ok now), today my eMac having trouble connecting to my house LAN. That means no network connection, no Internet, and (I thought) bricked gadget. That’s two out of the three. Anyway, I thought it was just the cable connection, but turns out the cable (looks like) is ok. After doing all the common-network-troubleshooting steps, it doesn’t get any better, so I started to lose hope and thought that my eMac LAN card is screwed. I started to look for an option: USB WiFi for Mac, and even Mac Mini (just in case..). Bad habit of mine.. whenever I think that it won’t work anymore, I’ll start looking for an alternative solution. Hmm..

Anyway, apparently it was the cable after all. Had no idea what caused it, but after I shortened the cable by a meter or so, the connection comes back to live.

… HOORAHHHH!!! …

That aside..

Regarding Mooi’s latest podcast, I hope I have not made you feel that I’ve abandon you, dear readers. I was just having such a busy week lately, hence less post here. But I have no intention to shut down this blog. I promise I’ll try harder to post regularly.

Being so occupied with work lately has been rather.. well.. busy. I realize I haven’t been updating much, but I will make up for it.

In the meantime, anyone know a good web planner such as Netvibes? I need to start planning a blog-posting-schedule.

Just got back from Jakarta last Tuesday. It was a business trip, well, minus all the fun I had, it WAS a business trip, too bad it wasn’t one of those all-expense-paid kind, but I guess you can’t win them all.

Anyway, had the chance to meet up with my friends from back when I was in Perth. It’s always a good fun to meet up with them once again. Them with their jokes, updates, gossips, stories and much more. I guess I’m lucky enough that we could always meet up again every now and then, although it’s going to be a little harder from now on, since some of them are acquiring permanent resident status over there in Australia. They are the kind of friends to be treasured, and I can’t thank them enough for all the things they’ve done for me.

I met up with an old friend of mine too, we used to be a good friend back during my years studying IT. I’m glad he’s still very much the same until now. Reza, good to hear from you again, and damn, I’m still good enough to spank your sorry ass in a pool game. Think you’ll beat me that easy? Dream on, punk!

Was introduced to some new people as well. Each with their own, unique personalities. But in general, they are equally fun to be with.
